The problem when you gulp your food too quickly is that you don't realize you're gulping large amounts of air along with it too. The excess air gets trapped in your digestive system and ultimately leads to bloating. If you ensure to chew each morsel of your food slowly and eat at a steady pace, it will not only help you lose belly fat faster but also aid in weight loss. This also applies to consuming liquids. The usual advice for weight gain is to eat a higher amount of carbohydrates to “bulk up.” Unfortunately, this may lead to gaining mainly fat mass. Although most people see low carb as a weight-loss diet, this isn’t necessarily true. Low carb tends to lead to weight loss in people with excess weight because it helps them feel full and they end up eating less. Toxicants in food and everyday products are a plausible reality today. Humans and domestic animals are increasingly affected by constant exposure to these compounds that alter the hormonal system and can cause various diseases including overweight and obesity. In recent decades there has been a dramatic increase in obesity and it has been thought that the causes of this epidemic are high calorie diets associated with a sedentary lifestyle, in addition to the genetic component. However, these by themselves cannot be the only ones responsible. In 2010, a group of researchers published a study in the journal Proceedings of The Royal Society, in which they analyzed this situation, indicating the possibility that the causes of weight gain could involve various factors such as toxins in food and the environment not yet identified. Other researchers have also supported this theory, in a review published in Current Opinion in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity, it is suggested that among the main contributors to the obesity epidemic in humans and animals are endocrine disrupting chemicals, widely present in the environment. "We are what we eat", surely you have heard this phrase numerous times, but after reading the following article a new question will arise ... Do you really know what you eat? Toxic in food and the environment Endocrine disruptors (ED) are external chemical substances that have the ability to mimic the behavior of our body's hormones, altering their functions. A particular type of these substances has been identified that can unbalance metabolic processes, mainly if exposure to these toxins occurs during pregnancy and the first years of life, predisposing to obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and the metabolic syndrome. They are called "obesogens". These toxins in food promote the accumulation and formation of fatty tissue in the body. For a substance to be considered DE, the European Food Safety Authority established certain conditions: · First, they must cause an adverse consequence on a healthy body or organism, as in the case of obesogens that have the ability to increase the fat content of cells. · Second, that its hormonal activity in the body is evidenced. · Third, that the relationship between ED and its counterproductive effect on the population is demonstrated. Food toxins are compounds of very low molecular weight, and it is difficult to demonstrate their damage to the human endocrine system. There are, however, enough studies demonstrating its alterations in animals. What are the health effects of toxics in food and the environment? Obesogens are present in food contaminated by pesticides and in various industrial products of daily use. But these compounds not only accumulate in fat, they are also transmittable from mother to child. According to a study published in the journal Nature Reviews Endocrinology, these are some of its effects: · They increase the number of adipocytes (they are the cells in charge of storing fat) · They interfere with the formation of sex steroids, altering the reproductive system. · They can act by modifying the production of natural hormones by increasing or decreasing their concentrations, which can cause the appearance of mammary tissue in male animals. · They can affect fetal adipose tissue, increasing the number and size of fat cells. · They promote the accumulation of triglycerides, altering the balance of lipids in the body. · They disrupt your appetite regulating center and your satiety sensors, causing obsessive eating patterns. For example, they can make you hungrier and eat a lot more. · They increase the risk of glucose intolerance and increase insulin levels. · They alter the metabolism in general and thyroid functions. · They increase the fatty tissue of the internal organs. Some of the most researched obesogens or toxins in food and the environment · Bisphenol-A We can find it in plastic containers and food canning cans, they have been associated with cancer and obesity. It has currently been withdrawn from baby utensils in Europe. · Phthalates They are also found in plastics, toys, cosmetics, paints, and are linked to genital malformations in children, obesity, and insulin resistance. · Organotines They are used in agriculture as pesticides, in research it has been linked to weight gain in rats. · Genistein In several studies its obesogenic effect in high doses has been verified in laboratory mice and weight gain in postmenospausal women. It can be found in soybeans. · Organo-tin substances They are toxic that perennially cause environmental pollution and are used as a fungicide in food, it is part of the possible obesogens in humans. All these substances can be found anywhere, they are toxic in food and the environment, therefore, avoiding them is very difficult, some measures you can take to reduce your exposure are the following: · Eat organic, naturally grown food. · Decrease the consumption of meat, since the animals are exposed to obesogens. · Avoid using cosmetics that contain toxic substances like phthalates. · Do not consume drinks packaged in plastic. Physical therapy is a great way to treat joint pain because it helps improve your range of motion and strengthens the muscles surrounding the joint. This in turn helps minimize overall stiffness and pain. During physical therapy, you’ll be given a series of customized strengthening and stretching exercises to do on a regular basis. Stretching helps with mobility and overall range of motion. A physical therapist may also recommend that you wear a brace, especially for knee pain, to assist with stability and function. Who doesn't really love a cold chocolate in the heat, or a cup of hot chocolate in the winter? Or, how about a dark chocolate cake with a chocolate filling? Chocolate accompanies us in every possible way and although we are all aware of its delicious taste, many do not yet know about its great properties. And, yes, eating chocolate could have some positive effects on your brain health. Eating chocolate makes you smart A 2016 study published in the journal Appetite found a link between regular chocolate consumption and increased cognitive performance. After studying 968 adults with various cognitive tests, the researchers found that those who ate chocolate more frequently performed better on memory, reasoning, attention, and general tests of cognitive performance. Georgina E. Crichton, who led the research study, suggested that the results they saw could come from the cocoa flavanols and methylxanthines found in chocolate. Cocoa Flavanols and Methylxanthines Previous studies have also pointed to the brain benefits of cocoa flavanols. For example, a 2014 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition looked at ninety older people with healthy cognition. Older adults were divided into three groups: some received a low dose of cocoa flavanols every day (48 mg), some a medium dose (520 mg), and others a high dose (993 mg). The researchers found that older people taking medium to high doses of cocoa flavanols showed notable improvements on memory tests, executive function tests, and attention tests. Just two years earlier, that same group of researchers had published another study suggesting that cocoa flavanols might have a small reverse effect on thinking problems for older people who suffered from cognitive decline. What type of chocolate should be consumed? But before you start buying stocks in "Hershey and Cadbury," Heidi Godman, Executive Editor of the Harvard Health Letter, advises paying attention to where you get your cocoa flavanols. "The amount of cocoa used in chocolate varies by manufacturer. And flavanols are often destroyed in the production of chocolate. Dark chocolate has more cocoa and more flavanols than milk chocolate,” he said. "The best way to get flavanols from cocoa is through cocoa powder that is as natural as possible and has not been processed through the Dutch method, which reduces the flavanol content," Godman continues. Methylxanthines, meanwhile, are naturally occurring alkaloids (they are also used in prescription drugs). The two most common methylxanthines in chocolate are caffeine and theobromine. While cocoa beans don't have as much caffeine as coffee beans, you can still get a good awakening by enjoying some natural chocolate. On the other hand, theobromine has been associated with better quality sleep. You will often find certain checks and balances in nature like this, not quite the opposite of the very relaxing L-theanine found alongside caffeine in green tea. Consuming chocolate and your mood Eating the right kind of chocolate can help protect against mood disorders. A study published in the journal Depression & Anxiety this summer (July 2019) suggested that while eating chocolate, in general, had no statistically significant effect, eating dark chocolate appeared to have a preventive effect for depression. "Individuals who reported any consumption of dark chocolate were 70% less likely to report clinically relevant depressive symptoms than those who did not report any consumption of chocolate," the researchers said. Of course, it could also be the case that those suffering from depression are less interested in eating chocolate. Without more study, it's hard to know for sure. Either way, no one makes the claim that chocolate is a panacea. However, it sure makes a good gift! If you want to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, you have to perform circuit training three days per week. How can you achieve this? Indulge in full body exercises like lunges, push-ups, and pull-ups, for one set of 15 repetitions. Don't forget to follow every exercise with one minute of jumping rope. You should be able to burn around 500 to 600 calories per workout. Nucentix Keto X3 Review

We tell you why sugar is bad, and especially why added sugar is the great nutritional problem of our time, and not fats. At this point saying this is not news, but evidence: sugar is bad, terrible and guilty of many different types of diseases. Until relatively recently it was difficult to explain why sugar is bad, because previously the great enemy (always according to the food industry, and unfortunately with the collaboration of prostituted science) were fats, including cholesterol as a secondary actor. Currently not only do we know that fats are not the culprit, but also that carbohydrates in general are not either: refined foods and specifically white sugar is one of the big problems, and not only because of its use as a method to sweeten food (like coffee), but rather in its form of sugar added to refined foods (although, on the other hand, foods that are advertised as “no added sugar” are not usually a good option either). Today we will talk about why sugar is bad, how the myth that sugar is good and fats are bad originated, what diseases sugar causes and how we can recognize refined foods, many of them characterized by excess added sugar. Why sugar is bad: when the sugar industry bought into science For many years, the phrase "you have to eat everything " has been repeated ad nauseam, a phrase that many types of industries in the food sector have used as a method of self-defense when selling their products and not making people feel bad. average consumer: alcohol, sugar, refined vegetable oils ... the examples would give for entire books, but today we will focus on white sugar, or specifically why sugar is bad but science helped to make us believe otherwise. Precisely last year 2016, scientists from the University of California uncovered the scandal in JAMA Internal Medicine: during the 1960s, Harvard University published a series of studies in favor of the consumption of sugar, or rather defending that sugar it does not collaborate in the appearance of cardiovascular diseases. Another "culprit" had to be found, and this series of Harvard- endorsed studies dropped all their weight against fats, demonizing them, to this day. Things would have been correct if the results of these studies were meaningful, and it would not be the first time that a series of studies has disproved a long-held belief. However, on this occasion, it turned out that the studies defending sugar consumption were paid for by the sugar industry at the time: three scientists from Harvard University received $ 6,500 each (about $ 48,900 each at its current value) Although today there are hundreds of scientific studies that have made clear the danger of consuming an excess of sugar (obesity, cardiovascular diseases in general, diabetes ...), this scientific corruption has diverted its gaze to fats. And worst of all, a decade before Harvard defended sugar consumption, during the 1950s, studies had already begun blaming sugar for these diseases. Sugar consumption: we don't know what we eat Let's be honest. With the current western diet, based on refined foods, the vast majority of the population does not know what they are actually consuming. We can't read food labels, and we don't even bother with it. In fact, the labeling system is quite obsolete, since it does not distinguish between children and adults, or between men and women, but nutritional recommendations do usually make such a difference. All of this means that sugar consumption in Western society has skyrocketed. And not because we overdo the use of white sugar or refined sugar to sweeten desserts or coffees, but because added sugar fills much of the Western diet. According to the World Health Organization, the amount of sugar that we should consume in a single day should not exceed 5% of total daily calories. In Europe this recommendation becomes laxer, recommending an intake of less than 11% of daily calories (or less than 10% if alcohol is consumed). This would mean consuming less than 25 g of sugar according to the WHO, or less than 50 g of sugar according to European authorities. And no, you probably won't get the math, because the current average in the western world in terms of sugar consumption is 90 g of sugar per day. If we try to get a glimpse of where all this excess sugar comes from, we see how soft drinks would be the most important source among young people : 42% of the sugar of individuals between 11 and 18 years old comes from these drinks with sugar. On the other hand, sweets and chocolates represent between 19 and 22% among children, although in this group we can also include refined cereals and cookies, and fruit juices with added sugars. Regarding the adult group (between 19 and 64 years old), canned food, jams, soft drinks and refined cereals would be the main sources of excess sugar. Likewise, alcohol would represent up to 10% of sugar consumption in this age group. Finally, let's look at some examples of foods with more sugar, thanks to which it is tremendously easy to exceed this 5% of daily calories recommended by the WHO, or even the 10-11% recommended by European authorities. In fact, recently the sinAzucar.org project has already denounced many of the examples that we will comment on. Soluble cocoa: two teaspoons represent 15 g of added sugar. Refined cereals: for every 100 g of cereals there are almost 50 g of added sugar. Cookies and pastries: for every 100 g there are up to 20 g of added sugar. Sodas with sugar and energy drinks: each can of cola represents more than 30 g of sugar. White and milk chocolate: for every 100 g of chocolate there is up to 60 g of sugar. Jams: up to 50% of its composition is sugar. Dairy desserts (custards, custards, refined yogurts): can contain up to 30 g of sugar per serving. Fried tomato: the added sugar ensures the flavor and reduces the acidity. Sauces: although they are usually products with excess fat, the added sugar helps to reduce acidity and give flavor. Candies: they are practically pure sugar, since their preparation is based on sugar or sugar syrup together with colorants. Diseases caused by sugar Although the sugar industry tried to decouple its product from cardiovascular diseases, today we know that many risk factors are worsened by sugar: obesity, diabetes (excess blood sugar), and even hypertension are caused or worsened by consumption of sugar, either in the form of added sugar or in the form of refined white sugar. It is worth highlighting a recent study, published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society, where it has been stated that just consuming two soft drinks or sugary drinks a week (yes, a week, and not a day) would be enough to increase the long-term risk of diabetes. In fact, hypertension was linked to sugar consumption relatively recently: according to a study published in the Open-Heart magazine in 2016, added sugar (especially fructose, the main sugar in soft drinks) contributes to the risk of hypertension. However, consuming sugar of natural origin (such as that contained in fruits) would not only not cause said hypertension, but would also collaborate as a protective factor. Too much sugar harms the brain Although it was previously suspected, little by little studies have been suggesting that excess sugar in the blood, even without suffering from diabetes as such, can increase the risk of dementia. This was stated by a study published in Neurology and carried out with more than 2,000 individuals over 65 years of age who had sugar levels in the high range of normal, without being diabetic, but still their risk of suffering dementia increased up to a 18%. On the other hand, another study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation in 2015, there would also be a direct relationship between excess sugar in the diet and the risk of suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Specifically, when the amount of sugar in the blood doubles, the levels of beta-amyloid protein in the brain (the pathological protein related to the disease, according to current evidence) would increase by up to 20%. In fact, previous research has classified Alzheimer's disease as a possible type 3 diabetes. Continuing with the influence of sugar at the brain level, other studies have affirmed that sugar is a potentially addictive substance, as stated in a study published in 2007 in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews, since it causes a stimulation of opioid receptors, a type of stimulation similar to that produced by drugs such as heroin or cocaine. Subsequently, another study published in PloS ONE in 2016 corroborated this hypothesis, going so far as to show that the same drugs used to treat tobacco addiction would also work against sugar addiction. Likewise, excess sugar has also shown structural damage to the brain, being able to literally shrink the brain and impair memory, even being at high levels but within the normal range, according to a study published in PloS ONE last year 2012. The other diseases caused by sugar For its part, other works have linked excess sugar with more diseases that have nothing to do with the cardiovascular or brain system. They are the other diseases caused by sugar, in case there were not enough. On the one hand, a study published in Neuroscience last year 2015 stated that a diet with a high consumption of sugar can cause changes in intestinal bacteria, which consequently would lead to a significant loss of cognitive abilities. In other words, excess sugar would cause alterations in learning and memory after altering intestinal bacteria. For its part, another study published in Cancer Research last year 2016 found a direct relationship between excess sugar in the diet and the risk of suffering both breast cancer and lung metastases, due to the alteration of a metabolic pathway called12 -LOX. Artificial sweeteners, a good alternative to sugar? While it is true that other natural alternatives have been sought, such as honey or agave syrup, or even brown sugar, the reality is that none of them is healthy or recommended, since almost all of their content is pure sugar. Although there are many ways that have been sought to replace sugar in a healthy way, the one that stands out most above all of them is the use of non-caloric sweeteners (natural or artificial). Among these sweeteners, stevia stands out (whose use in natural form in Spain is only allowed in infusions), and other artificial ones such as sucralose. However, recent studies suggest that sweeteners, whether natural or artificial, would not be an ideal way to find an alternative to sugar consumption either. On the one hand, a study published in 2016 in Cell Metabolism stated that the use of sweeteners (specifically sucralose) not only would not help to lose weight, but would also cause a paradoxical rebound effect (at least in mice and fruit flies), as such consumption would increase the intake of other foods in general, thus increasing the weight accordingly. Fruit flies, for example, consumed 30% more calories per day if they were made to consume sucralose compared to a basal diet without this sweetener. In fact, another study published in Nature in 2014 already warned about the possible danger of the use of artificial sweeteners, although on that occasion there was a trick: the study used exorbitant amounts of sweeteners to end up pointing out their harmful effect, something that cannot be extrapolated to the daily use of these substances. On the other hand, this same year 2017 another study published in the Canadial Medical Association Journal did not leave a puppet with head, and affirmed after conducting a review of more than 11,000 studies that the use of sweeteners would not have benefits for health, but the other way around. In this review, both the use of natural sweeteners, such as stevia, and the use of artificial sweeteners, such as the aforementioned sucralose, were taken into account. According to their results, there would be no benefits in people with hypertension or diabetes, and would even be related to an increased risk of weight gain, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, stroke and cardiovascular disease in general. According to the hypothesis of this great review, artificial sweeteners would alter the intestinal flora, causing all these damages. However, this work could also have a trick, according to a statement from the International Association of Sweeteners: people who are overweight or obese, or with some type of cardiometabolic problem, are usually the largest consumers of sweeteners, since their objective with the use one of them is trying to lose weight and reduce your caloric intake. In other words, this study could demonstrate an inverse causality (sweeteners would not be the cause of all diseases, but would be consumed as a search for a solution to them, and therefore such a relationship is detected). Real food: the real alternative to sugar As we have seen, there is great scientific evidence about why sugar is bad. Not only is it bad, it may be the major culprit for many of the ills of our time, and sadly it could be due to a single payment of around $ 150,000 to three scientists just 50 years ago. Today, thanks to all the scientific evidence available, we know that neither facts are that bad, nor is sugar that good (quite the opposite). And if we look for alternatives, everyone wants to be the first in the "healthy race", trying to unseat the white poison and raising the flag of supposed health. The reality, knowing everything we know now, is that the best healthy alternative both for consuming sugar and avoiding processed foods in general is to use real food, real food, fresh food prepared by yourself and not pre-cooked dishes from the market. supermarket (neither prepared sauces, nor prepared salads, nor anything that comes to mind packaged and "ready to be consumed"). In fact, a recent American Heart Association study found that eating at least two meals a day at home reduced the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 13%. And another subsequent study, published in Public Health Nutrition, confirmed that homemade food is the best way to lose weight. What's more, any type of food that you see with messages such as " low in fat ", " low in sugar " or " without added sugar ", " without gluten ", " without salt " or things like that, usually have some that another trap hidden in their labeling. And not only are they not as healthy as they want to sell them to us, but rather the opposite, as stated in a study published in Physiology & Behavior, which warned of the trap committed by light products by reducing its caloric potential by lowering the amount of fat, but adding sugar instead (yes, the famous added sugar is usually in huge amounts in so-called "healthy" products because they are called " light "). In summary, the alternative idea is (whenever possible) to try to cook yourself, and to know what you are cooking, always in the right quantities and without going overboard. Not only do calories matter, the foods from which these calories come, both their quality and quantity, matter. To lead a healthy life, it is necessary to maintain an optimal body weight and when there is excess fat, it is advisable to use minerals that can help you lose weight. Both minerals and vitamins work as catalysts and help speed up reactions that increase the possibility of losing weight. In the right amounts, the following nutrients help keep the body functioning optimally and help shed those extra pounds. Minerals that help you lose weight While weight control is essential for good health, losing those extra pounds is not simply about reducing your calorie intake. Your daily diet should provide you with a sufficient number of essential vitamins and minerals, which can provide your body with much-needed nutritional support to enjoy a higher metabolic rate. Iron When your body lacks adequate amounts of iron, you can suffer from anaemia, one of the most common mineral deficiencies. Those who suffer from this condition tend to feel constantly tired. The reason: Your body needs iron to carry oxygen, but when you lack this mineral, your cells can't get an adequate supply of oxygen, leaving you feeling depleted. This can in turn lead to difficulty exercising, and we all know that exercise is an important component of weight loss. Conclusion: You need to have a large amount of iron in your diet. You can get this important mineral from lean protein meats like turkey. Spinach, molasses, lentils, clams, and mussels are good sources as well. Calcium On average adults need about 1,000 milligrams of calcium every day. This mineral plays a vital role in bone and tissue growth, helps maintain proper bone density, and protects us against osteoporosis. Calcium also regulates blood pressure levels and has been shown to help you lose weight and increase muscle mass. you can find calcium in molasses, spinach, walnuts. If you suffer from lactose intolerance, you can try other ways to get calcium beyond milk. Chrome Like calcium and iron, chromium helps maintain a stable and healthy body weight. This mineral is involved in metabolizing sugar. Glucose levels in the blood are stabilized by increasing the effects of insulin. Without this mineral in your diet, insulin function is impaired and blood glucose levels fluctuate. Therefore, chromium helps to reduce cravings and lose weight naturally. You can include foods like molasses and whole grain breads to get your daily fix. Zinc Zinc is important for regulating appetite and helping with weight loss, hormonal function, and insulin levels. Include this mineral in your diet by consuming wheat germ, beef, lentils, eggs, almonds, chicken, Brazil nuts, shellfish, and herring. We recommend that you check which foods contain zinc and the benefits of including them in your daily diet. Manganese This mineral also helps regulate blood glucose levels and is necessary for fat metabolism and maintaining a healthy thyroid, all of which are crucial for weight control. Excellent food sources of manganese are wheat germ, tea, spinach, walnuts, oats, green leafy vegetables, molasses, and pineapples. By regulating your hormonal functions, all of these minerals control hunger cravings that help you lose weight, also benefit your metabolic rate and calorie-burning abilities, and more. Pain will usually become less severe as the injury heals. However, chronic pain is different from typical pain. With chronic pain, your body continues to send pain signals to your brain, even after an injury heals. This can last several weeks to years. Chronic pain can limit your mobility and reduce your flexibility, strength, and endurance. This may make it challenging to get through daily tasks and activities. Nanocraft CBD Gummies Reviews

Potassium is a fundamental mineral for the body, but how does consuming potassium benefit the body? The advantages of consuming it are many, but its muscular and cardiac benefit is medically recognized. According to its definition it is an electrolyte mineral, that is, it is found in the blood, but also obtained by the body by consuming some foods, fruits and vegetables. It is also known as Kalium, from which it derives its symbol K. Benefits of potassium consumption After calcium and phosphorus, it is the third mineral that the body needs, since it balances the water balance, which leads to the proper functioning of the kidneys or the adrenal glands, as well as reducing stress and regulating energy production. Heart health Likewise, this mineral along with calcium and magnesium, develops vital cellular functions, specifically in the excitability of the heart, that is, it is a key element for myocardial movement and the activation of enzyme systems. The aforementioned trio of minerals normalizes our heart rate, hence its importance for our health. Stimulates bowel movement Also, a benefit of potassium consumption for the body is that it stimulates bowel movements and daily bowel movements. They are recognized as benefits of the consumption of this mineral that it fights fatigue, converts glucose into glycogen, builds proteins, carries oxygen to the brain and stimulates nerve impulses. Stimulates growth Another aspect in which potassium provides well-being is the regulation of blood pressure and that it contributes to normal growth. We must remember that a body without potassium is the target of various disorders, such as constipation, nausea and vomiting, fluid retention, accumulation of organic waste that harms our body and weakness or fatigue. Potassium deficiency problems Those who do not consume potassium regularly are exposed to heart rhythm difficulties, bone pain, joint pain, and muscle cramps. Another detriment of the lack of this mineral is that it can generate hypoglycemia, hypokalemia, mental confusion and lack of reflexes. When it comes to a chronic deficiency of this mineral, the first signs to appear are acne breakouts and dry skin. Dr. Elson M. Haas, from the PeriodicParalysis International portal maintains that the ideal is to consult a specialist who certifies if there is a potassium deficiency and how to solve it. Healthy and balanced diet There is no doubt about the importance of consuming potassium. And it is by eating a healthy and balanced diet that a good level of potassium is achieved. The recommendation is to increase the consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits, such as bananas or tomatoes, which are foods with large doses of potassium. Foods rich in potassium and recommended consumption How Much Potassium Does the Average Healthy Adult Need? About 4,700 milligrams (mg) per day. Here are just a few of the great sources of potassium from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: · 1 medium baked potato with skin: 930mg · 1 cup cooked spinach: 840 mg · 1 cup diced melon: 430 mg · 1 medium banana: 420 mg · 1 cup carrots, chopped: 410 mg · 1 cup of low-fat milk: 350 to 380 mg · 1 cup cooked quinoa: 320 mg Likewise, another great source of this mineral are nuts or legumes, such as lentils, chickpeas and mainly meat. Joining the list are foods such as: · Leafy vegetables, such as spinach or collard greens. · Fruits, including blackberries, grapes, tomatoes, oranges, nectarines, grapefruits, cantaloupes, cantaloupe, kiwi, prune juice, and bananas · Vegetables, including carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, zucchini, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, and water chestnuts · Beans, such as lima beans · Nuts and seeds, such as pistachios, almonds, and pumpkin seeds · Dairy products, including fat-free yogurt and fat-free or low-fat milk · Meat, poultry and fish, such as grouper and tuna. · Molasses · Cambur · Artichokes · Raisins · Dates · Cocoa powder Some people, especially those with kidney problems, can benefit from a low potassium diet. Other benefits of potassium The Department of Nutrition of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Department of Agriculture of the United States, indicates that both for babies, children and adults the adequate intake of potassium is between 400 and 4,700 milligrams per day. For pregnant women, it is specified that the daily requirement is 4700 milligrams, and during lactation it will be 5100 milligrams. It should be noted that during pregnancy, the body requires specific amounts of potassium, as it maintains the body's fluid and electrolyte balance. Ideal for pregnancy The potassium is essential in muscle contraction in the transmission of nerve impulses, and the energy release of vital nutrients such as fats, proteins and carbohydrates. Combined with sodium, the presence of this mineral moderates the level of blood pressure, one of the most important medical factors in pregnancy. On the other hand, women after menopause are also favored with the consumption of potassium, since it is effective in preventing strokes. This is reported by the results of a study published in the journal Stroke, involving 90,137 postmenopausal women, aged between 50 and 79 years, and it was shown that those who consumed a greater amount of the mineral were 12% less likely to suffer a stroke and 16% less tendency to suffer an ischemic stroke. The benefits of potassium can also be used by athletes and its combination with magnesium improves relaxation and muscle recovery. If you do physical exercise, you have to know that these two minerals are essential in our diet, because they reinforce physical performance, reducing the feeling of fatigue, and recovering muscle tone. Health risks of taking too much potassium As essential as potassium is, it's not just about increasing your potassium intake. Too little or too much potassium in the blood can cause some serious health problems, and there are often no symptoms of either problem. Some people are more at risk of developing high potassium levels than others. Your kidneys help regulate the amount of potassium in your body. People who have kidney problems, such as chronic kidney disease, should not get too much potassium; If they do, they could develop too much potassium in the blood, which is also known as hyperkalemia. There is a much wider range of size in men's penises when flaccid, with the average ranging from 1 to 4 inches. In general, smaller, flaccid penises lengthen at erection by a greater percentage than larger, flaccid penises, with most men reaching an average size of 5 to 7 inches. This means the flaccid size of a penis is not a good predictor of erect size. The vast majority of men measure within the average genital size range and have a penis size that is more than adequate for sexual functioning. Virility for Men Review

Modern civilization has become far removed from nature. Most of us would not know how to survive if we were stranded on an island. Fortunately, things are slowly changing, and people are taking an active interest in natural health, which leads us to talk today about the benefits of bee pollen. Bee pollen is a health food that has been around for centuries in Eastern cultures, but has only recently started showing up in Western health stores and online. There has been quite a stir about the health benefits of these little golden granules, from helping you lose weight to helping with seasonal allergies. First, what is bee pollen? Bee pollen, sometimes also called bee bread, is plant pollen that bees collect and bring back to the hive to pack and use as a food source for the colony. As a result, the characteristics and nutrition of bee pollen depend on the plant from which it was collected. Typically, people take a bee pollen supplement or sprinkle a tablespoon over their oatmeal or acai bowl. Bee pollen is made up of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. A tablespoon of bee pollen has about 40 calories, 7 g of carbohydrates (including 4 g of natural sugars), and 1 g of fiber. Also, bee pollen can have more than two grams of protein per tablespoon, that is, more protein than the same amount of chicken or beef. One teaspoon of bee pollen contains over 2.5 billion nutrient-packed flower pollen granules. Bee pollen is the richest source of vitamins in a single food. A nutrient powerhouse of eighteen vitamins that includes a B complex, all essential amino acids, fatty acids, RNA / DNA nucleic acids, enzymes, and is at least 25% protein. 13 benefits of bee pollen according to science Bee pollen can have many good compounds for the human body, check out just 13 of them below. 1. Fight inflammation Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels in the body. These little ones need constant restoration, which is possible through the body's collagen production. A key component in the creation of collagen is rutin, which is a bioflavonoid that helps synthesize collagen. According to Russian research, bee pollen contains one of the highest concentrations of this bioflavonoid. Capillaries use collagen to stay strong and increase elasticity, which means that inflammation could be reduced and prevented. Inflamed capillaries can cause hemorrhoids, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. 2. Salmonella surrenders to bees The benefits of bee pollen are wonderful in fighting important bacteria like salmonella. This infectious bacterium enters the body through contaminated food and causes all kinds of problems. This includes problems like diarrhea, fever, chills, and abdominal pain. The problem could go as far as dehydration or blood in the stool. It is an infection that nobody wants to experience. 3. Bee pollen drives the heart and blood circulation Blood and heart can "scream" when they are happy, and their happiness comes from healthy blood circulation. The role that bee pollen plays in blood health and blood circulation is helpful due to some of its natural properties. For one thing, it appears that pollen components help increase red blood cell production. You already know that bee pollen can reduce inflammation, which leads to high cholesterol, but there is more. Pollen appears to contain enough ingredients to increase high-density lipoproteins and decrease low-density lipoproteins, resulting in a balanced cholesterol level. Your heart should beat effortlessly with the consumption of bee pollen. 4. The immune system improves with bee pollen Bee pollen increases the production and power of various substances in the body that are responsible for fighting all kinds of harmful pathogens. We are talking about bacterial infections, viruses, mutated cells, metabolic waste, and disease. Studies conclude that components of bee pollen, like vitamins, appear to produce things like lymphocytes and immunoglobulin. 5. Goodbye to those damn allergies Bee pollen has been used to treat allergies through an effective process called desensitization. The idea behind this technique, mentioned by the Journal of Allergy, is to slowly introduce allergens into the body. The body will slowly begin to create antibodies to that particular allergen, but the key is to begin this process at least six weeks before allergy season begins. One of the most beneficial aspects of taking bee pollen is that your body is creating antibodies to millions of types of pollen, which should provide you with more efficient antibodies. 6. Strength and endurance can be yours That title may sound cheesy, but you have the power to increase your strength and endurance simply by taking in bee pollen. And the benefits of bee pollen go further with the amount of protein they have, which is greater than eggs and meat. The amount of protein in bee pole is so high that most nutritionists estimate it to be about five to seven times greater than meat or eggs. The British Sports Council found that strength increases by 40 to 50 percent with regular consumption of bee pollen. 7. Bee pollen can improve fertility The University of Egypt conducted some research on bee pollen to deepen its fertility properties. The study was carried out in rabbits. Preliminary results found that sperm quality improved a lot, which helped fertility. Bee pollen is packed with vital vitamins, enzymes, proteins, fatty acids, and a host of other unidentified components that could explain the effects it can have on people looking to get pregnant. 8. Improve your skin with this gift from the bees Bee pollen has many nutrients. This concentration of nutrients can be quite helpful for your skin. The nutrients in bee pollen stimulate new skin growth while preventing premature aging. It seems to decrease dehydration, which is how skin is smoothed. You can add bee pollen to your diet or just apply it topically from time to time. 9. Attack rheumatoid arthritis with the help of bees Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune problem that causes your immune system to attack the joints. In essence, your body is attacking itself and causing unnecessary pain or inflammation. This problem is usually associated with an immune system that is out of balance or lacking in certain nutrients, causing it to misbehave. Bee pollen contains several nutrients that improve the immune system, so some of your symptoms can be reduced if you consume bee pollen regularly. 10. Pollen can help your kidneys do their job Bee pollen helps the kidneys in two different ways. For one thing, the abundance of nutrients helps ensure that the kidneys stay strong, which can prevent infection. Infections are common with the kidneys because they are responsible for removing toxins and waste from the body. Bee pollen helps detoxify the body, which should make the kidney's job much easier. Do you see why you have to consume bee pollen regularly? 11. Get rid of that yeast infection with bee pollen Candida or yeast infection is something that affects most people in one way or another. This could be thrush, viginitis, or even athlete's foot, although there are other forms of infection. The problem is very difficult to solve because it feeds on processed foods and sugars. Bee pollen, along with a sugar-free diet and processed foods, could kill the infection and restore your immune system's grip on the candida infection. 12. Breast cancer victims have a friend in bees If you are being treated for breast cancer, you are probably aware of all the negative symptoms associated with this condition. This could include hot flashes, hair loss, forgetfulness, depression, trouble sleeping, and painful sex. It seems that the infinite amount of nutrients in bee pollen can control some of these symptoms. Of course, it is wise to speak with your doctor before attempting treatment, but it may provide some relief during these difficult times. 13. Helps free you from addictions Addictions come in many forms, like alcohol, cigarettes, and even sugar, but the only thing they have in common is that they trap you. Bee pollen won't cure you of your addiction, but it does help regulate digestion and nutrient intake. These nutrients reach the nervous system and should restore balance. This balance could prevent the body from reacting to addiction in the same way. This is why bee pollen could help a person trying to break free of an addiction. Final notes It should be noted that scientists have not been able to identify all the ingredients in bee pollen. This means that there may be other benefits that we just don't know about at the moment, making bee pollen look a bit like that box of chocolates full of surprises. Don't wait to treat your body with all this kindness. If your sex life has been suffering because of erectile dysfunction, eating fruit on a regular basis may be helpful. Fruit contains flavonoids, which seem to help men get and maintain erections. One study of over 25,000 men found that men who regularly consumed flavonoids had a lower chance of developing erectile dysfunction than men who didn’t consume them regularly. Eating fruit may also contribute to heart health, which in turn affects your sexual performance. VigorNow

A remedy that many people prepare for joint pain and that brings them quick results, is the one that has to do with bones and animal skin. It can be in the form of gelatin or homemade preparations, such as broths, which contain collagen as the main ingredient that is collected from the ground bones of animals. But there are some people with these conditions who choose not to eat such foods out of their own philosophy. If you are one of those people, or if you are not, this remedy or recipe still turns out to be of great quality for your health (if you are sick and even if you are not) and help for joint pain, and not only because of its quick results and because it includes only plant ingredients, but because of the amount of nutrients, apart from collagen, it contains. Collagen is an agent that helps reduce joint pain One of the main reasons why animal bone broth is “in” is, as we mentioned, because of the inherent collagen in bones. The collagen can help reduce inflammation and supports strengthening hair, skin, nails and especially for joint pain. But similar to calcium, the body can absorb collagen nutrients better and more easily from plants than from an animal. Plant foods that promote collagen Particularly adept at promoting collagen production and reducing joint pain are foods that include seaweed, celery, soybeans, kale or kale, beets or beets, spinach, and olive oil - all of which happen to make a delicious vegan recipe for "Bone broth." They are also rich in minerals (such as calcium) and phytonutrients that boost immune system health. Unlike animal products, which are highly acidic, a vegetable broth is alkaline and can bring balance to a body that is too acidic (from possible culprits: coffee, alcohol, meat, and sugar). Miso pastes as an ingredient to reduce joint pain The addition of miso paste (it is a salty paste obtained from dark brown fermented soybeans; you can find it in health food stores) to this recipe brings the benefit of a fermented food to the broth, which helps improve digestion, stimulate immune function, improve energy and reduce inflammation. Wakame, an alga rich in collagen Wakame is an alga revered for its strengthening effects due to collagen and high levels of minerals. It is a food that you should consider if you are in the task of reducing joint pain. It can also be found in health food stores or online. Use organic foods whenever possible, especially in the soy products in the recipe. Quick relief remedy for joint pain Makes about 3 quarts Ingredients · 4 tablespoons olive oil · 2 cups celery, finely chopped · 1 cup finely sliced golden beets · Small handful of reconstituted dried wakame in a bowl of water · 4 cups chopped fresh spinach mixed with kale or kale · 2 tablespoons good quality soy sauce · ¼ cup organic miso paste · 1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced · 1 bay leaf · 12-16 cups water or vegetable broth · Optional: finely chopped fresh turmeric, 1 cup minced onion and 1-2 minced garlic cloves. Instructions · In a large pot, sauté the celery in olive oil over medium-low heat. (If you are adding turmeric, onion and garlic, add now as well). · Once the celery is tender - about 5 minutes - add the bay leaf, beets, water or vegetable broth, and soy sauce. Increase the heat to medium heat and cover the pot. · Drain the excess water from the wakame and add to the pot. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low, allowing the broth to simmer for about 45 minutes. Add the spinach and kale, parsley, and miso paste, stirring until the miso dissolves. · Strain the vegetables and use the broth or serve with vegetables for a light soup. Traditional bone broth is simmered for about 24 hours. If you choose that long draw method of cooking, these ingredients (except for the miso paste) can all go in a slow cooker. Once the broth is ready, add the miso paste just before serving. Use this remedy to relieve your joint pain, it is very effective and nutritious. Increased semen volume is pointless if you are not sexually active. Semenoll contains aphrodisiacs that can increase your sexual appetite and penile blood flow for thicker and more frequent erections. Increased penile blood flow will also lead to more intense orgasms. Performinax

Brewer's yeast has taken on an unusual role lately, as several studies have shown that this food has multiple health benefits. Before adding it to the diet, it is important to know how it works and how it should be consumed in order to take advantage of all its benefits. What is brewer's yeast? Brewer's yeast is nothing more than a single-celled fungus, whose scientific name is Saccharomyces cerevisiae and is commonly used in the manufacture of breads, wine and beers; Since it is a group of living organisms, it is capable of generating carbon dioxide and ethanol during fermentation, which makes the bread grow and the beer form bubbles. However, the brewer's yeast that we use as a nutritional supplement is not the same as that used for food production, as it is a by-product of the fermentation process. The dry brewer's yeast is cultured, separated from the liquid, and pressed to remove moisture. This process deactivates microorganisms, so it will not produce the chemical process that releases gases but will continue to contain the proteins, vitamins and minerals that make it nutritious and provide multiple benefits. What nutrients does brewer's yeast provide? The yeast has a high protein, even higher than the lean red meat, which has approximately 3.6 grams of protein per 20 grams. Compared to soy, which has about 7.2 grams of protein per 20 grams, brewer's yeast has a clear advantage. This makes it an ideal food to supplement the diets of vegans and vegetarians, children and people who perform strong physical activity, especially if it is combined with legumes and cereals that complement the essential amino acids to obtain complete proteins and take advantage of all its benefits. Also, its high iron content makes beer yeast a suitable food for those suffering from anemia. This food, in addition, provides significant amounts of B complex vitamins, which contribute to enzymatic reactions to metabolize certain nutrients, as well as contributing to the proper functioning of the nervous and immune system; while the chromium it contains is essential for the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, besides playing a very important role in the metabolism of insulin. With all the nutritional load that this food has, it is not surprising that it has multiple health benefits, which can be used to complement the treatment of certain conditions. Benefits of brewer's yeast Helps control diabetes Some studies have determined that the load of chromium present in beer yeast, which is also high-quality and easily absorbed, contributes to the breakdown of sugars and fats for energy. This nutrient improves glucose and cholesterol levels in patients with type II diabetes. A study published in July 2011 in the " Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology " showed that those patients who consumed 9 grams of brewer's yeast per day for 40 days reduced glucose levels by 42% and glucose levels by 17%. LDL cholesterol levels. Prevents the appearance of cancer Brewer's yeast can prevent certain types of cancer, as shown by studies published in June 2012 in " Cytotechnology " and in " Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications ", where they showed that yeast prevented the structural processes that occurred in chromosomes that could cause cancer, since yeast has a structure similar to the proteins that participate in human cell division. Improves immune function Another benefit of brewer's yeast is the improvement in immune function, as demonstrated by a study from the University of Utah, United States. This food was shown to be able to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as salmonella, E. Coli and Clostridium difficile, responsible for many infections that can lead to death. Also, brewer's yeast is capable of boosting the immune system locally (where the infection is present) and systematically (through the body, preventing it). Contributes to weight loss Brewer's yeast works as an adjuvant in weight loss- oriented regimens, as its chromium content contributes to the metabolism of fats and sugars, in addition to regulating the appetite and stimulating the metabolism to help burn fat. In addition, its content of B vitamins helps to suppress the craving for eating sweet foods. Relieves and prevents premenstrual syndrome Brewer's yeast contains zinc and B vitamins, which stimulate and regulate female hormonal function. Not only does it alleviate physical symptoms, such as abdominal pain and bloating, but it will also help manage bothersome emotional symptoms such as depression and anxiety caused by menstrual cycles. improve skin's condition Brewer's yeast is a great source of biotin (vitamin B8), which improves the texture and growth of hair, nails and skin, making it ideal to help balance and mitigate conditions such as eczema, acne, dryness, among others. Improves digestion The probiotics present in brewer's yeast contribute to the maintenance of the intestinal flora and activate the production of certain digestive enzymes, preventing and relieving discomfort such as diarrhea. Also, the nutrients in yeast enhance and contribute to the good digestion and degradation of food. How to use brewer's yeast If you want to add brewer's yeast directly to the meals you prepare, you can find it in health food stores and in many supermarkets, in the section dedicated to nutritional or natural supplements. On the packaging it usually says " beer yeast " or " dry yeast flakes." It is also possible to find it in capsules that you must consume at least once a day. You can use it as a substitute for Parmesan cheese, as it has a similar flavor, although a little close to walnuts. Brewer's yeast does not contain gluten, so it can be safely consumed by celiacs. Sprinkle it over salads, soups, smoothies, pasta, gratin dishes, and even popcorn. Avoid cooking or baking it, as this will cause it to lose its nutritional properties, since the heat of cooking degrades the proteins and vitamins in brewer's yeast. Two or three tablespoons a day will be enough. Contraindications Not all people can take advantage of the "benefits" of this superfood. Although it is true that brewer's yeast does not have serious side effects, it can cause gas and bloating in certain people prone to this type of disorder; Therefore, it is recommended to include it slowly in the diet, increasing the amounts in periods of several weeks to allow the body to adapt. Those who suffer from gout, Crohn's disease, rheumatism, have regular candida infections, high uric acid levels, allergies to mold or penicillin, should refrain from consuming brewer's yeast. Also, if you take monoamine oxidase inhibitors or MAOIs (such as harmaline, brofaromine, iproniazid, isocarboxazid, moclobemide, nialamide, phenelzine, selegiline, toloxatone, or tranylcypromine) for depression, you should consult your doctor before starting brewer's yeast. It is important to consult your doctor before making any changes to your diet, especially if you have a delicate medical condition. It is also necessary to remember that although it is true that brewer's yeast can help in certain diseases, such as in the case of diabetes, it is not at all a substitute for medications prescribed by a health professional, but could complement the treatment indicated by the doctor. Male enhancement pills are sold in shops and online as natural remedies for improving sexual performance in different ways. They’re usually made from plants, and they often include several different herbal supplements mixed together. Some manufacturers claim that these products can increase penis size or improve sexual performance-related health conditions like erectile dysfunction and low sex drive. Styphdxfirol

Some very useful tricks to calculate portions without weighing them and always know how much food you should serve on the plate. We talk a lot about having a balanced diet and that you have to eat everything, but there is another important point if we want to have a balanced diet and that is how much of each thing to eat. One at home can even count calories using a scale or measuring food in cups, but there are times when we do not have a scale at hand, such as when we are eating out and we have to serve ourselves from a common source. Now at last you are going to understand a little better those recipes of your mother in which handfuls are the standard unit and why grandmother always has good food even if she has not used a scale to weigh ingredients in her life. 1 teaspoon is about the tip of your thumb 1 tablespoon, the whole thumb. 1 cup, clenched fist Fortunately, nature, which is very wise, gives us the solution to calculate portions without weighing them at hand and never better said, because our own hand gives us the measure of what we should serve on the plate. How to calculate servings without weighing them Pay attention because it is very easy: Now, how to calculate portions without weighing them when serving on the plate? It is also very easy: · 1 serving of meat or fish is a piece the size and thickness of the palm of your hand. · 1 serving of salad is two clenched fists. · 1 serving of boiled rice, cooked pasta or potatoes is a closed fist or, if it is rice or raw pasta, you just have to flex your hand into a bowl and what will fit, which is about half of the closed fist. · 1 serving of low-fat dairy such as milk or yogurt is a closed fist. · 1 serving of fatty dairy like cheese is your index finger or thumb and a little more. · 1 serving of very fatty dairy such as butter is the tip of the thumb. · 1 serving of fruit is a clenched fist, you can imagine, an apple or an orange are more or less that size. · 1 serving of cereal is a clenched fist. · 1 serving of bread is a thin slice the size of your outstretched hand. And yes, I know what you are going to tell me, that each one has a hand of one size, which was the first thing I thought when years ago a doctor told me about this system, and the answer is a matter of logic, obviously a man from 2 meters tall his hand is bigger than a 1-and-a-half-meter child, but he also needs to eat a little more, so he does not fail. The measure is always in our hand. So, if we eat out and do not want to go overboard, on the plate, a handful of carbohydrates, two salad, a thumb of oil, the "chicha" like the palm of your hand and for dessert a handful of fruit. A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn't clear but some research suggests that a diet rich in fish oil or fish oil supplements and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated. Hydroessential Serum

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies in the world, around 30%, that is, 2 billion people are affected by a lack of iron. Those most affected by iron deficiency are mainly the group of women. However, the total abandonment of meat and fish puts even more at risk of suffering from iron deficiency in both men and women. What is iron Iron is an essential trace mineral that the body cannot produce on its own. It is especially important for the formation of haemoglobin, which gives the red pigment to the blood and therefore improves oxygen transport. Daily, the body loses an average of 1 to 2 mg of iron, so it must be administered with daily food. Iron deficiency causes Iron in the diet meets more normal requirements. But the deficiency can increase, for example in pregnancy or in the menstrual period, where there is usually a greater iron deficiency. During pregnancy and lactation, the increased need for iron in many cases cannot be compensated through diet. In this case, the ingestion of iron tablets is required. Even children in the growth and puberty phase need more iron. Insufficient iron intake: People who do not eat animal foods often have decreased iron levels. Many vegetables and other foods that supplant meat in the vegetarian diet do contain enough iron - it is true, but it is in a way that the body cannot easily absorb it. Iron loss: · Heavy period bleeding · Prolonged bleeding due to ulcers · Chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract · Haemorrhoid bleeding led to loss of iron. · High physical stress increases the loss of minerals and trace elements through the kidneys and sweat. Symptoms of iron deficiency The body can compensate for the lack of iron in a specific period, but while it can trigger some symptoms such as the appearance of damaged hair and brittle nails, dry skin, cracked mouth, lesions of the lining of the mouth and oesophagus and burning in the language. If the number of red blood cells that carry oxygen decreases, cellular oxygenation also deteriorates. Consequently, the body is lacking in iron for a long time, which can lead to anaemia with symptoms such as persistent fatigue, decreased energy and poor concentration, paleness, dizziness and headache, tingling in the hands and legs. legs. With iron deficiency the body is generally more susceptible to disease. How to get enough iron You can eat 3 to 4 times a week a portion of lean meat (organic meat of young free-range cattle) Whole grains and legumes such as lentils or white beans provide iron and other valuable minerals for the proper functioning of the body. Combine your meals with vegetables rich in vitamin C, such as bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, cabbage or potatoes or enjoy a glass of orange juice before dinner. You can consult the list of foods rich in iron that should not be missing in your diet. As you approach your goal weight, your rate of weight loss will likely slow down. This is common and absolutely normal. As your body becomes smaller, it burns fewer calories to perform its tasks than it did when you were heavier. If you add too many calories back to your food plan, pounds can creep back quickly. Insulex

Keeping your cholesterol low helps support good heart health, and this can be achieved naturally with good diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle. You will be able to know in depth the function of each fruit to regulate cholesterol and also learn the correct combination of these fruits, to avoid digestive problems. 1. apple The apples are an effective tool to fight high cholesterol and one or two a day would have a powerful cardioprotective effect on reducing bad cholesterol and boost good, according to the University of Florida in the US Their pectin content and polyphenols (antioxidants) would be those that improve lipid metabolism and avoid the risk of heart disease. Silent enemy Cholesterol is a waxy, fatty-type substance that exists naturally in all parts of the body. The body needs a certain amount of cholesterol to function properly. But too much cholesterol in the blood can increase the risk of heart disease. (US National Library of Medicine) 2. Blueberry These small bluish fruits contain a compound called pterostilbene (natural antioxidant), which allows the reduction of LDL or bad cholesterol. Drinking an 8-ounce (250ml) glass of juice would increase high-density lipoproteins (HDL, or good cholesterol) in your blood, according to Laval University in Québec, Canada. Where does cholesterol come from? From two sources: the body and food. The liver and other cells produce about 75% of the cholesterol in the blood. The other 25% comes from food, more specifically "animal" products, according to the American Heart Association (AHA, its acronym in English). 3. Strawberry In addition to being delicious, strawberries have other virtues, including reducing the levels of bad cholesterol in the walls of the arteries. According to the Polytechnic University of the Marche in Italy, after consuming half a cup of strawberries a day for a month, a group of volunteers demonstrated the powers of the fruit. Why is cholesterol unhealthy? If you have high cholesterol, your body may store it in your arteries. Over time, it can harden, narrow your arteries, and completely clog them. If an artery that supplies blood to the heart muscles becomes blocked, a heart attack can occur. 4. Grapes The grape is not only the raw material of the wine or part of the tradition of the 12 chimes at the end of the year, it is also an ideal fruit to fight high cholesterol. A study from the University of California determined that drinking grape juice slows the oxidation of bad cholesterol and contributes to maintaining a healthy heart, and in turn inhibits the processing of cholesterol at the liver level and promotes its elimination. The good, the bad, the total The blood carries cholesterol to cells in special carrier particles called lipoproteins. Two of the most important are low density (LDL or bad cholesterol) and high density (HDL or good cholesterol). Doctors evaluate the relationship between LDL, HDL, and triglycerides, and the relationship between these and total cholesterol. 5. Plums The plum is a fruit that contains anthocyanins (natural antioxidant), substances that reduce the absorption of bad cholesterol. In addition, thanks to its high content of soluble and insoluble fiber, it helps to trap and drag excess cholesterol obtained through food, eliminating it from the body (University of Florida). High cholesterol population According to the American Heart Association (AHA), more than 98 million adults in the US have cholesterol levels of 200 mg / dl or higher. Of those people, nearly 34 million have cholesterol levels of 240 mg / dl or higher. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 4 deaths is due to heart disease. 6. Oranges This fruit is usually associated with vitamin C, however, if you have unhealthy cholesterol levels, drinking orange juice can have great benefits, according to research published in the journal Nutrition Research. The juice would provide a significant dose of hespetidin, an ideal antioxidant to fight bad cholesterol. 7. Kiwi Kiwi is a fruit that should not be missing from your diet if you want to keep cholesterol at bay. It contains dietary fiber in the form of pectins that is not only essential to combat constipation but also to regulate blood cholesterol levels by preventing its absorption in the intestine. 8. Pears Pear is within the group of fruits with properties to lower cholesterol thanks to its abundant content of natural fiber in the form of pectin that prevents the reabsorption of intestinal cholesterol produced by bile for the digestion of food. Fiber slows down intestinal transit and lowers bad cholesterol levels in the blood. 9. Granada The high content of antioxidants and polyphenols in pomegranate make it a great ally for heart health. A cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic, pomegranate juice may block or slow the build-up of cholesterol in your arteries when you have persistent high levels of lipids in your blood. 10. Pineapple Pineapple is another fruit high in pectin and fiber, which lowers cholesterol and promotes healthy bowel function. Fiber allows you to capture excess fats and eliminate them from the body, reduces the metabolism of fat and the formation of bad cholesterol at the liver level, according to the University of Maryland. Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects the way the body treats glucose (sugar) in the blood. In the case of type 1 diabetes, the pancreas cannot produce insulin, a hormone that allows the body’s cells to use glucose and produce energy. Type 2 diabetes, on the other hand, is a two-part affliction: first, the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, and second, insulin can no longer play its role properly because the body’s cells are unaffected by it (insulin resistance).
